Two cookies in the jar, must be for me

Pull away, glare at the soft chocolate chip
Pull away, imagine it melting with milk’s sip

Close the eyes, cookies dancing
Close the eyes, watch, they’re prancing
Milk, like a fountain, pouring out like a waterfall
Milk, into milk pond, glistening, so beautiful
Close the eyes, the cookies prancing
 
Must wait, until after dinner
Must wait, ignore eager jitters
I can do it, I can turn away

Must wait, was told not before dinner
 
I turn away, finding the will
I turn away, instead of standing still
Supposed to share with my brother
Supposed to have them later, together
I turn away, look back and freeze, still
Brother’s eaten both quicker than a pill
